Heuchera maxima, or Island Alum Root, is a flowering perennial with large, rounded, glossy green leaves and delicate spikes of white flowers that rise above the foliage in spring. It forms a clumping mound typically 1–2' tall and wide and is low-maintenance, thriving in light shade locations with well-draining soil and minimal pruning.
